Another Successful Auction!

Physician assistants attending the Annual Scholarship auction should pat themselves on the back. The generosity of the PAs and their friends at the auction was almost overwhelming. We made $6,169 at the auction and still kept the Foundations expenses at a minimum.

The students and the Foundation would like to thank you for your generosity again this year.

The Foundation would also like to thank Stacey Ream, the husband of the late TAPA President-elect, Tammy Ream. Stacey selflessly returned to the auction this year with several friends so that the auction could have our famous auctioneers again this year. We realize how difficult this was for Stacey and this act was a reflection on Stacey and Tammy’s devotion to the Foundation and the Academy.

Sales Were Huge!

The Foundation brought back the limited edition PA Bear with a white coat this year. While many bears were sold at the Fall Conference, the physician assistants attending the Annual CME conference snapped the bears up as soon as they went on sale.

As last year, PAs had the opportunity to BUY ONE/ DONATE ONE a bear to a local Children’s Hospital. This year the donated bears will be given to the Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas.

The iTouch iPod, donated by a Foundation board member, went to David Gomez, a UT Pan Am student, as a giveaway for a donation to the Foundation. Look for more cool giveaways in the future at the Foundation booth in the fall.
